Betty Briggs
My mum volunteered for the WRVS over a number of years, helping in the tea rooms at our local hospital. She had spent various periods in hospital, including a long stay when she broke her back. When she had recovered from this she wanted to give something back, and this is what she chose to do. She loved the work, it gave her a purpose and a reason to get up, put some lippy on and go out. We sadly lost her in January this year and I am proud to have raised donations for RVS in her name.
